My Story

I am you.  Or just like you.  I am a normal guy.  I don’t have a medical degree and I am not a nutritionist.  But I am a business professional working in the commercial real estate space.  I have a Bachelors of Science in Economics from UCLA and a Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Bakersfield.  I am also married and have a two-year old daughter.  My wife is currently pregnant with identical twin boys.  Now that may not sound exactly like your life but I bet it is very similar.  As a partner in a real estate services firm I am both busy and under stress most of the time.  I also have little people around my house that demand time and attention.  The little people have tempting snacks around all the time.  Living with a pregnant person also means that we have sweets in our pantry and ice cream and cookies in our freezer.  Between these little people and a pregnant wife, there are plenty of temptations I could give into.  I also have to travel for work at least once a month, if not more often.  But despite these obstacles, I was able to successfully lose 50 pounds and keep it off.  I am often surprised at how easy it is to keep the weight off once you learn the right habits.  It is almost like I have rebooted my system and learned to be thin again.

 What makes this story most compelling is the fact that I am just a normal person.  I don’t have any specific training in health and diet other than what I have learned from reading diet books.  But what I have learned is how to successfully lose weight.  I was a little bit torn as to whether I should write this book.  I spend most of my day on my computer working in excel spreadsheets.  I am hardly what you might call a trained writer.  But ultimately I decided it was more important to share these weight loss tools with a world that could use it, no matter how difficult it was for me to sit down and write this book.  My intention is to help as many people as I possibly can. If you are willing to try, I am willing to help you.  If I can help at least one person succeed, then all of the time and struggle to write this book will have been well worth it.
